About
One person builds it. That person is me.
No account manager, no offshore team, no ticket queue. You talk to the person writing the code and answering the phone.
I run a small business too. I've missed the calls.
I'm Erik. I've been building for the web since 1999 — back when it meant hand-coding every line, long before anyone had heard of a drag-and-drop builder. I bought my first website, funnyjokes.com, for $68 and sold it a few years later for $65,000 USD.
I still build websites by hand. Not out of nostalgia — because it's how you end up with something that loads in under a second on a phone with two bars of signal, in someone's driveway, which is where most people will actually look at your business.
EveryCall came out of a pattern I kept seeing. A contractor does excellent work, has a reputation people trust, and is quietly losing jobs every week to someone worse. Not because the work is worse — because the other guy picked up, or showed up higher on Google, or had forty reviews instead of nine. That's not a talent problem. It's a systems problem, and it's fixable.
I also know the other end of it. I run this on my own, so there are afternoons where I'm heads-down building someone's website and the phone goes unanswered. I know what that costs, which is why the first thing I built was the thing that answers it.
It's one person, so if you call, I'm the one who calls you back. Eventually.
Why this exists
The best tradesman in town usually isn't the busiest one.
Most local businesses run on referrals. That works right up until it doesn't — one slow season, one competitor who starts advertising, one month where the phone just doesn't ring as much, and you're wondering where the next job is coming from.
The problem is almost never the quality of the work. It's that there's no system underneath it. Nothing catching the calls you can't take. Nothing asking your happy customers to say so publicly. Nothing making sure that when someone types your trade and your town into Google at 8pm on a Sunday, they find you rather than the outfit three suburbs over.
People are searching for exactly what you do, right now, today. They're just finding someone else.
How I work
What you can expect.
Honesty first
If it's not a fit, I'll say so on the first call rather than take your money and hope. If you ask me to do something that'll hurt you later — gating your reviews is the obvious one — I'll tell you why I won't, even if it costs me the sale.
Built before you pay
You see the actual website for your actual business before any money changes hands. Not a mockup, not a template with your logo on it. If it isn't better than what you've got, don't switch.
You can get hold of me
Text, call, or email. No support portal, no ticket number, no waiting three days to find out whether anyone read it. Changes to your website usually happen the same day.
Nothing you can't leave
Month to month, no contract, no exit fee. Your domain is yours and your customer data comes with you if you go. A service should have to earn the next month.
Want to see what it'd look like?
Fifteen minutes on the phone, then I build the website. You decide after that.
