Callum walks the property
Every quote starts with a site visit. No estimates over the phone. Callum looks at grade, drainage, existing plants, and any problem areas before putting a number together.
You get a clear quote
Written scope, flat seasonal price for maintenance work, itemized for project work. No surprises when the invoice arrives.
We schedule you in
Maintenance clients are booked into a regular rotation before the season starts. Project work gets a start date confirmed in writing.
Consistent crew, all season
The same team handles your property. They know your yard, they know your preferences, and they don't need to relearn it every visit.

About us
How We Work
I started Fernbank in 2008 with a truck and a mower. These days we run a full crew, but I still walk every quote myself. I want to see the grade, the drainage, the tree roots heaving the patio edge. I can't give you an honest number off a photo.
We book maintenance by the season, not the visit. That means you get a consistent crew who knows your property, not whoever's available that week. It also means I can plan properly instead of scrambling to fit you in after a storm.
I won't take on more maintenance accounts than we can service properly. We've turned work away before and we'll do it again. A yard that gets skipped half the summer because we're stretched too thin isn't something I want my name on.
What people say
Reviewed on Google
These are real Google reviews from clients in the Tri-Cities, and we think they're worth reading before you decide.
Third season with Fernbank now. Same two guys every week. They know not to cut the back lawn too short and they know where the dog stakes are. That consistency is worth a lot.
Callum came out and walked the whole yard before giving us any number. We'd had two other guys quote over text. He pointed out a drainage issue near the fence that was killing the grass — the other two never mentioned it. Hired him on the spot.
We wanted to rip out the whole front and put in a big patio. Callum talked us out of the size we had in mind — said it would look out of proportion and cost more than we'd get back. He was right. The smaller version looks great and we saved about four grand.
What we do
Landscaping Work, Start to Finish
We cover everything from weekly maintenance and planting to hardscaping, irrigation, and snow clearing — here's what each service actually includes.
Weekly Maintenance
A seasonal contract that sends the same two-person crew to your yard on the same day every week. They already know the layout, so the lawn gets mowed, edges trimmed, beds weeded, and green waste taken away without reminders.
Read moreSpring & Fall Cleanup
Get the yard reset properly at the start and end of the season. Not just a quick rake.
Read moreHardscaping
Patios, pathways, retaining walls, and steps built to stay put through Port Moody's freeze-thaw winters. The base is excavated, compacted, and drained properly before a single paver goes down.
Read morePlanting
Right plant, right spot. We pick for your soil and light, not what's on sale at the nursery.
Read moreIrrigation
Full irrigation installs zoned to work within watering restrictions, so your yard gets covered in the days you're actually allowed to water. Every autumn the system gets blown out before a hard frost can crack the manifold.
Read moreSnow Clearing
Driveways, walkways, and small strata properties cleared when a storm is forecast, not after the fact. Salting and de-icing are included, and maintenance clients are scheduled first.

Questions
The Things People Ask
If your question isn't answered here, we're easy to reach by phone and we'll give you a straight answer.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. The site visit and quote are free. Callum comes out, walks the property, and puts a written number together. It takes a bit more time than a phone estimate but it means the quote is actually accurate.
What does seasonal maintenance cost?
It depends on lot size, what's on the property, and how often you want us out. Most residential maintenance contracts in the Tri-Cities run between $180 and $350 per month. Callum will give you an exact number after the site visit.
Can I book a one-time cleanup without a maintenance contract?
Yes, spring and fall cleanups are available as standalone bookings. Weekly maintenance is seasonal contract only — we don't do ad hoc mowing visits.
Are you taking on new maintenance clients?
Sometimes, sometimes not. We limit how many accounts we run so we can service everyone properly. If we're full, we'll tell you upfront rather than take your money and underdeliver. It's worth calling to check.
Do you handle snow clearing for commercial properties?
Primarily residential. We have a few small commercial strata properties on contract but we're not set up for large commercial lots or parking areas. If you're not sure if your property fits, call and ask.
