What we do

Roofing Work, Start to Finish

We handle everything from full re-roofs and emergency leak repairs to gutters, flat roofs and skylights, so you don't need a second contractor.

Re-roofing

A full tear-off and replacement that starts by exposing the deck so nothing gets covered up without being photographed first. The roof is dried in the same day it's stripped, and rotten sheathing is replaced before new material goes down.

Emergency repairs

Active leaks get a same-day tarp to stop water from spreading while the structure dries out enough to repair properly. Everything is photographed throughout, which gives you usable documentation if an insurance claim follows.

Storm damage

After storm damage, a proper on-roof assessment with photographs gives you something concrete to hand an adjuster rather than a verbal opinion. Honest advice on whether the damage actually warrants a claim is part of the assessment.

Gutters

Overflowing and deteriorating gutters are one of the more common starting points for wall and foundation water damage on Lower Mainland homes. Replacement, leaf guards, downspout work and seasonal cleaning are all handled.

Flat roofs

Torch-on and TPO membranes for additions, garages, decks and small commercial roofs, with drainage and slope corrected rather than just resurfaced. Flat roofs fail slowly at seams, so getting the water moving off properly is the part that matters most.

Skylights

Skylight leaks are almost always a flashing problem rather than a fault with the unit itself, and reflashing a sound skylight costs considerably less than replacing it. New installations are scheduled within a re-roof wherever possible to avoid opening the roof a second time.

Windstorm took half our shingles. Summit tarped it the same evening and had the insurer paperwork taken care of within a week.

They sent photos of the rotten sheathing before covering it. I never would have known. Fixed it for what they said it would cost.

Got four quotes for a re-roof. Ryan was the only one who went up on the roof before pricing it. Not the cheapest, but the only one who knew what was up there.

About us

Eighteen Winters on Lower Mainland Roofs

I'm Ryan. Started Summit in 2008 after a decade working for somebody else, mostly because I was tired of watching corners get cut on jobs I had to put my name to.

We do about ninety roofs a year. That's deliberate — enough to keep six crews busy and small enough that I still walk every job before we quote it.

Every re-roof we do gets a written workmanship warranty and photos of what's underneath before we cover it up. You should never have to take a roofer's word for what they found.

Questions

The Things People Ask

If there's a question we haven't answered here, you'll get a straight answer from us over the phone.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes, and there's no obligation after it. We'll tell you what's up there, show you photos, and give you a written quote if it needs work. If it doesn't, we'll say that too.

How long does a re-roof take?

Most houses are two to three days, weather depending. We tear off and dry-in the same day so you're never left open overnight.

Will you deal with my insurance?

For storm damage, yes. We document everything with photos and provide the assessment your adjuster needs. We don't do the claim for you, but we make it straightforward.

What warranty do I get?

Ten years on our workmanship, plus whatever the manufacturer offers on materials — usually 25 to 50 years on asphalt. Both in writing.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through a third-party lender. A roof isn't usually a planned expense, and we'd rather you did it properly than patched it.

Worried About Your Roof?

Call or send a message and we’ll come have a look and tell you straight what it needs.
