Repiping
in North Vancouver

Older galvanised and poly-B pipe eventually starts failing in ways that make patching the more expensive choice. Work is staged so you're never without water overnight, and everything is photographed before the walls close back up.

What this covers

Repiping, done properly

Galvanised and polybutylene pipe both fail eventually, usually somewhere inconvenient. If you're getting repeat pinhole leaks or brown water, patching has stopped being the cheaper option.

We repipe in stages so you're never without water overnight, and we photograph everything before it goes back behind the drywall.

  • Full house repipes
  • Partial repipes for problem sections
  • Galvanised and poly-B replacement
  • Copper and PEX
  • Drywall patching coordinated

Questions

Repiping: what people ask

What are the signs that my home needs repiping rather than another repair?

Repeat pinhole leaks, brown or discoloured water, and consistently low pressure are the main ones, especially in homes with galvanised or polybutylene pipe. If patching the same line a second or third time starts costing more than sorting it properly, repiping is usually the more sensible path.

Will we be without water while the work is done?

We repipe in stages so you're never left without water overnight. The exact schedule depends on the size of the job, and we'll lay that out clearly in your quote.

What happens to the walls and drywall once the pipes are replaced?

We photograph everything before it goes back behind the drywall so there's a clear record of the new pipe locations. We also coordinate the drywall patching, so that side of things is taken care of rather than left for you to organize separately.
